The Watsons is one of Austen’s unfinished manuscripts that she wrote in about 1804 when she was living in Bath, England during a difficult time when she was pushed into the marriage market and her father later died. She never returned to the manuscript to complete it.

Claudia Gray is the pseudonym of Amy Vincent. She is the author of the Mr. Darcy & Miss Tilney Mysteries, which began with The Murder of Mr. Wickham.
She is also the writer of multiple young adult novels, including the Evernight series, the Firebird trilogy, and the Constellation trilogy. She and her husband, Paul, live in Turin, Italy, under the benevolent rule of a small dog named Peaches.
