Laurel Ann Nattress – Director
Since 2007, Laurel has championed thousands of books and authors on her popular blog Austenprose.com. Combining her passion for promotion with her experience as a writer and editor, and her industry connections, she secured literary representation and sold her short story anthology concept within a week. The result was Jane Austen Made Me Do It, published in 2011 by Ballantine Books (Penguin Random House).
In 2014, Laurel Ann founded Austenprose PR, a curated online marketing service for authors and publishers. Rebranded in 2025 as Great Reads Book Promotion, the company expanded its mission to support a wider range of fiction and nonfiction titles with tailored marketing services.
An expatriate of Southern California, Laurel Ann lives in a 115-year-old Craftsman cottage surrounded by roses and hydrangeas in the Pacific Northwest.
Christina Boyd – Digital Communications Specialist
Christina is a creative communications professional with over a decade of experience in content development, editing, and promotion. She has edited over 60 novels, curated seven anthologies, and interviewed 125+ authors for her blog. Skilled in Canva, MailerLite, and social media, Christina executes campaigns that boost visibility and engagement. She has presented on literary panels, supporting author outreach and branding.
With a BA from Salisbury University, Christina is a writer, a great reader, and also a life member of the Jane Austen Society of North America. She lives in the wilds of the Pacific Northwest with her dear Mr. B. and silver Labrador, Zelda.
Laura Hartness – Marketing and Social Media Assistant
Laura has worked in digital marketing since 2008. An avid reader, she has written hundreds of reviews for authors and PR firms. She joined the Great Reads Book Promotion team in late 2024 where she assists with marketing campaigns and manages social media outreach.
A graduate of Wheaton College and Southern Evangelical Seminary, Laura also plays horn in the High Point University Orchestra. Her favorite authors include Jane Austen, C. S. Lewis, and Diana Gabaldon. She lives in North Carolina with her husband, Jonathan, has two grown sons, and cares for three rescue cats and a Mi-Ki dog.
